One Productions has announced the acquisition of Arc Transmedia Partners. Arc Transmedia Partners has a number of projects on its development slate including its IFB, RTE, Australian and Scottish co-production ‘Megacorp’, a transmedia documentary.Trevor Curran, MD of Arc, will be joining Tom Hopkins and Laura Hopkins as a director in One Productions to focus on brand sponsored content and creative producing. The experienced drama producer and transmedia expert will be working with advertisers, PR companies, brands, broadcasters and film funds alike.
One Productions is also in the running for TV3’s New Irish Soap Opera. The cast, writers and crew at the Dublin based company are eager to bring new talent to our screens in their new drama series ‘Fire’.
Other Irish production houses Parallel Films (The Clinic), Element Pictures (Ripper Street), Samson Films (Once), as well as UK based Zodiak Media (Being Human) and Lime Pictures (Hollyoaks) for the 2015 soap contract.
A total of 18 television firms pitched proposals to the network, which is aiming to air the new soap twice a week in 2015 in order to go head to head with RTÉ’s ‘Fair City’. The show will become a staple piece within the TV3 schedule.
