Gala

One Productions scripted, shot, edited and post-produced a series of ads for gala supermarkets, Ireland’s fastest growing retail group. We devised the adverts in conjunction with the client to best maximise the limited resources and budget available.

Gala staff and family members were auditioned around the country for the scenario roles, and the adverts were shot over two days. All amateur performers were used in the commercials, with staff members, family and friends drafted in to minimise spend.

The adverts were designed to compete in quality and impact with those of sector leaders Centra and Spar, albeit that they were produced at a fraction of the competitions’ production budgets.
