One Productions to produce Gala TV commercials

One Productions have been appointed as advertising agency and production company for the forthcoming television commercials for Gala convenince stores. The commercials, due to air in October 2005, are to coincide with the opening of Gala's 200th store nationwide.

The creative, devised by One Productions, will feature a series of vignettes of people in situations where they have a requirement for an item purchasable in a Gala store. With typical One Productions humour, however, some of the requirement associations are not what you might expect.

The commercials are to be shot over two days with Tom Hopkins and Molly Stack at the helm, reprising their directorial partnership that worked to great effect on the short film "O".

To complete the campaign, a new jingle for the stores has been composed by Paul McDonnell and will feature on the commercials.
