Exhibition Launch
It all starts in August 2004. Location: Green Lizard. Temperature: Red Hot. Idle Mae Lawless hosts her first underground Burlesque night. Somewhere in the line-up, a young artists makes her debut.Emma J. Pearson, a.k.a. www.tuppenceworth.ie columnist Fluffy Dutton, totters onstage to try a Marilyn Monroe-style striptease. Her stiletto gets stuck in the floorboards, her garter won't come off, she can't see without her glasses and her feather boa ends up in somebody's pint. She may not have the poise of Deeta Von Teese, but she's had a taste of the grease-paint and she's hooked.
Emma's work is on exhibition at the One Productions gallery from 30th September until 27th October 2005. Admission is strictly by appointment. For more information call (01) 678 4077 or email exhibitions@oneproductions.com
