Marketing :: Dail na nOg

Brand Rationale:
This project, undertaken in conjunction with Carr Communications,
involved branding the “Dáil na nÓg” day held yearly at the Mansion House and implementing that brand across a diverse range of media and collateral. It was important that the children perceive the materials as fun, relevant to them and non-authoritarian.

The “Face” logo was hand-drawn, and designed to be accessible to children at both ends of the age range – i.e. not to be too sophisticated and dry for the 5-year-olds and not to be too patronising for the 16-year-olds. In colour choice, the bright red keyed into the enthusiasm of the children and the dynamism of the event. The stars, also hand-drawn, referred back to the three stars in the logo of the organisers – the National Children’s Office.

The stars were re-drawn to retain consistency with the face and so that the Dail na nÓg image would refer to, but not exactly match, the stars in the NCO’s logo.

In addition to the physical collateral provided for the event, One Productions also developed the event website and have assisted in updating the site for each subsequent event.
