Film

Here at One Productions we seem to be be constantly celebrating the achievements of our movies - because by the time one is getting attention on the film festival circuit, the next has been awarded financing and is going into production.

This is fully due to the sterling work put in by our film department and the technicians involved in all of the productions we make.

Currently showing at Film Festivals
"O"
The ultra-short movie "O" is currently commencing on its film festival tour, having had its maiden voyage at the Galway Film Festival during the summer of 2005. It will feature at the Cork Film Festival in October 2005 and then in Foyle before commencing on the international festival circuit.

"O" has already received rave reviews, notably from the online movie web site Film Threat.

"Close"
Awarded the Short Cuts funding in 2003, "Close" was completed in 2004 and has spent over a year touring the world in various festivals. It achieved the double-accolade of being invited to represent Ireland at the prestigious Venice Film Festival and also at Montreal.

"Close" is the story of the near-death experience of a young woman involved in a car crash and the significance of the moments that follow for the rest of her life.

Previous Productions
Money, Fear and Justice
Our first production for the Irish Film Board was completed in 2001 and was invited to screen at the Venice Film Festival for that year. Shot in black and white, the movie tells the tale of a young man who finds himself forced to pay back more than a the debt he originally borrowed when his 'associates' propose that he take on a small job for them in lieu.

As the Chief Executive of the Film Board, Rod Stoneman put it, "I've seen gritty Dublin thrillers before but rarely one so stylishly done".

More about the movie can be seen at the project web site www.moneyfearandjustice.com
